BREAKING NEWS: One injured and one is in custody after gunman pulls a firearm from a backpack and opens fire at California high school

One person has been injured and one person is in custody after a shooting at a California high school on Tuesday.
The unidentified gunman produced a handgun from a backpack and opened fire outside Ridgeway High School in Santa Rosa, around 50 miles north of San Francisco, at around 9.10am.
The gunman then fled the scene, triggering a manhunt.
It remains unclear if they are the person who was taken into custody, however police were seen putting one young man in handcuffs and into the back of a car after removing him from a campus building.
The victim was driven to a local hospital by a student. They are receiving treatment for a stomach wound.
Police say it is not an active shooter incident, but they remain at the scene.

Ridgeway shares a campus with Ridgeway College and it is also next to St. Luke Lutheran Church and school.
Dozens of students and teachers are still hiding in place there, waiting to be told that they can safely leave.
Aerial footage showed cops slowly clearing classrooms and putting at least two children in handcuffs but authorities maintain there is only one gunman who is yet to be found.
Once outside, the students were lined up on bleachers.
The high school was put on lock down along with two others that are adjacent to it immediately after the incident.
One male victim is being treated at the hospital for a reported stomach wound, though it is unclear what his condition is, according to The Press Democrat.
Teachers at the other schools on the campus phoned local outlet Kron 4 to describe hiding in place in their classrooms.
Once said he had turned all the lights off and drawn the blinds of his classroom.
